Is this training approved by MN BCA?

Yes, Final Option is a approved training organization by MN BCA to certify clients with the required training needed to apply for your MN Carry permit.

This MN online carry course meets and exceeds the state mandated training requirements to obtain your Minnesota "Multi State" Permit to Carry. The course also includes a required standard shooting proficiency test.

This online course also gives you the most up to date information with current Minnesota state carry laws. The information we teach you far exceeds the minimum requirements established by the Minnesota BCA. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge in the safe use of a firearm to include, loading, unloading and shooting a handgun.

Firearms Safety, The 7 Fundamentals of Shooting, Use of Force state statutes, Alternatives to Deadly Force, Conflict Avoidance, State Statutes, Court Proceedings, Understanding the Parameters of your Permit, Defense in your home, Firearm and Ballistic Options, Methods of Carry, Physical and Psychological Reactions, Tactical Considerations and Law Enforcement Encounters.

Is there any additional fee's

Range rental is INCLUDED in the course tuition. Students BEWARE most of the other online CCW classes DO NOT include the required range fee rental. Costing you an extra $25.00 to $45.00 more on top of your classroom tuition fee. Final Option INCLUDES everything in one fee, with no surprises! We also offer the use of eye and ear protection free of charge (if needed) for the live fire qualification.

How long do I have to submit my training paperwork to the sheriffs office after competing the training and qualification.

Per Minnesota law you have one year from the date listed on your training certificate to apply for your permit. If it goes longer than 1 year you will be required to take the complete training course again.

What is the "live fire" requirements and standard?

The state standard is that you can prove your can load, unload and handle your firearm safely. Our qualification standard is 70% or better to pass.

String 1:

5 rounds two handed and 5 rounds one handed - 10ft

String 2:

5 rounds two handed and 5 rounds one handed - 15ft

String 3:

10 rounds two handed - 20ft

There is no time limit on the qualification. If you have a physical issue with holding a firearm one handed, we offer a alternative qualification.

What if I don't own or have a gun available ?

No problem, we offer firearm rental with required ammunition for your qualification.

This is common as clients want to get their carry permit so they can use it to purchase a firearm verses applying for an addental "permit to purchase" to buy a handgun.

Many clients rent firearms as it can very convenient to just show up and have everything ready for you. Also, we use .22 cal. handguns, and are very easy to shoot. Rental also includes use of required ear and eye protection.

To reserve a handgun rental just choose the appropriate option when you sign up for the class.
